Quality Control For Bag manufacturing

A complete quality control process is crucial in the production process of bags and handbags. It can ensure that the final product meets quality standards, meets consumer needs, and enhances the brand image. The following is a more comprehensive introduction to the quality control process of bag manufacturing:

1. Quality control of raw material procurement

1) Supplier screening and evaluation

First, we need to screen raw material suppliers strictly and examine their reputation, production scale, qualification certificates, etc. We will conduct on-site inspections of their production environment, equipment conditions, and quality management systems to understand their past supply quality performance. After comprehensive evaluation, we will select high-quality and stable suppliers to establish cooperative relationships.

2) Raw material inspection

When raw materials arrive, they need to be carefully inspected. For fabrics, check whether the material, color, texture, thickness meet the requirements, and check for damage, stains, color difference, and other problems; for hardware accessories, such as zippers, buckles, chains, etc., test their smoothness of opening and closing, firmness, and coating quality to ensure that they are not easy to rust or fade; and for lining materials, pay attention to their softness, wear resistance, and whether there is odor, etc. Only raw materials that pass the inspection can enter the production stage.

2. Quality control in the production preparation stage

1) Sample review

Before mass production, the sample of luggage and handbags should be carefully reviewed. Check whether the size specifications of the sample are accurate and whether the shape and structural design of each component are reasonable to ensure that it can meet the requirements of functionality and aesthetics. At the same time, check whether the process requirements marked on the sample are clear and complete so that subsequent production workers can refer to and implement them.

2) Production process development and training

Based on product characteristics and quality requirements, detailed production process documents are developed to clarify the operation process, quality standards, working hours and other contents of each process. Production workers are organized to receive process training to familiarize them with the process and quality points, ensuring that workers can operate per standard specifications

3. Quality Control in the Production Process

1) Quality control of the cutting process

When cutting fabrics, linings, and other materials, check whether the cutting equipment is sharp and accurate, and ensure that the cutting size accuracy meets the sample requirements. At the same time, supervise the workers to cut according to the layout plan to avoid wasting materials, and conduct random inspections on the cut parts to check whether the edges are neat and whether there are any cutting defects.

2) Sewing process quality control

Sewing is a key link in the production of bags and handbags. Check whether the thread tension of the sewing machine is appropriate, whether the stitch length is uniform, whether the thread color matches, etc. Supervise workers to sew strictly by the process requirements, ensure that every stitch and every thread is firm and smooth, pay attention to the starting and ending positions of the stitches, and whether the corners are handled in a standardized manner. Perform random inspections on the sewn parts to check for quality problems such as missing seams, skipped stitches, and broken threads.

3) Quality control of the assembly process

When assembling various parts into complete bags and handbags, check whether the assembly order of each part is correct and whether the hardware accessories are installed firmly, such as whether the zipper can be smoothly closed and fastened, whether the buckle can be fastened and loosened normally, etc. At the same time, check whether there are any defects in the overall appearance, such as whether the splicing between parts is flat and symmetrical, and whether there are any gaps that are too large.

4) Semi-finished product inspection

During the production process, multiple semi-finished product inspection nodes are set up to conduct comprehensive inspections on semi-finished products after a certain process. Quality problems that occur during the production process can be discovered and corrected promptly to prevent unqualified products from flowing into the next process, reduce production costs, and improve production efficiency.

4. Quality Control in Finished Product Inspection

1) Appearance inspection

Carry out a comprehensive appearance inspection on the finished luggage and handbags to check whether the overall shape meets the design requirements, whether the color is uniform, and whether there are scratches, stains, wrinkles and other defects on the surface. Check whether the pattern printing, embroidery, and other decorations on each part are clear and firm, and examine the aesthetics of the product from all angles.

2) Functional inspection

Focus on testing the various functions of bags and handbags, such as whether the load-bearing capacity of hand straps and shoulder straps meets the standards, and whether they can bear the corresponding weight for a long time without breaking; check the convenience of opening and closing pockets, and whether the capacity meets the design standards; for bags with locks, test the opening and closing flexibility and safety of the locks, etc., to ensure that the products can function normally in actual use.

3) Packaging inspection

Check whether the finished product packaging is standardized, whether the packaging materials meet the requirements, and whether there are any damages or stains. Check whether the product labels and instructions are complete and accurate and whether the identification information on the packaging, such as brand, model, material, origin, etc., is clear and correct, to ensure that the packaging process can also meet the quality standards.

5. Finished product warehousing and shipment quality control

1) Sampling inspection of finished products before storage

Before the finished products are stored, a certain proportion of the products are sampled to confirm the quality of the products again. For products that fail the sampling inspection, the reasons should be analyzed. If it is a batch problem, the entire batch of products should be reviewed and processed in time. Only qualified products can be officially stored.

2) Pre-shipment inspection

Before the product is shipped to the market, the final quality check is carried out. Check whether the quantity, specifications, models, etc. of the product are consistent with the order, and check the quality of the product again to ensure that every bag sent to the customer meets the quality requirements and maintains the good reputation of the brand.

Through the above strict and comprehensive quality control process, we can effectively control the quality of luggage and handbags, reduce the defective rate, provide consumers with high-quality products, and help enterprises gain advantages in the fierce market competition.
