Before placing a production order, the development of a new range of bags is of the utmost importance.
Once all the details are confirmed, our team will transfer your design to a physical prototype sample, where you can check the appearance and learn more details about your design through the sample before selling the sample for manufacturing.
The prototyping process includes material and material selection, hardware selection, development of metal custom molds, 2D pattern making, and the creation of hardware elements and decorations as needed. As a luggage manufacturer with decades of experience in this field, we will work with you from the initial idea to the final product and even more so that you can focus on growing and expanding
How to prototype a handbag?
Material selection
Material selection is the basis for bag prototyping. The appearance of each bag style depends on the material used. Material quality, texture and feel all need to be taken into account.
Chiterion focuses on providing customers with high-quality or Promotion products. We offer a wide choice of colors and textures for each type of bag, including vegan leather, recycled leather, genuine leather, metallic leather, suede, special materials, exotic skin and fabrics of different qualities, colors and textures.Chiterion is also open to customized materials such as printed materials with customer artwork, Before making the bag, our staff will inspect each material to ensure its quality.
Hardware selection and creation
Hardware is the most important part of a handbag. It can be functional or decorative. Eye-catching hardware may be the soul of a bag, it can improve the appearance of the bag and attract more people to buy.
SHAPES AND SIZES. It can be round, square and other special shapes. Hardware materials can be metal, resin, wood and plastic. You can choose whatever you want.
Chiterion ALSO OPEN TO CUSTOM HARDWARE, MOST CUSTOMERS WILL CUSTOMIZE HARDWARE FOR THEIR BAGS, SUCH AS METAL BRAND LOGOS OR SOME SPECIAL ELEMENTS MAY STAND OUT. What we need are hardware specifications with the overall shape, the dimensions of each part, such as width, length and thickness. We will make 3D drawings to confirm the appearance and structure, and then proceed to make the correct hardware mold after the 3D drawings are approved.
2D pattern making
Pattern making is the process of creating a bag body "project" made from the outer lining and various parts of the lining of the bag.
Pattern makers need to sketch design lines on paper by hand to the dimensions in the technical packaging and convert them into a series of 2D shapes, which we call open plates, which are essential throughout the bag-making process.
After the prototype is made, a prototype sample will be made. It is a test sample for style and structure inspection, and prototype samples can be made with the right material quality, the right color.
